In 1998 we entered a Management Agreement with St. Luke’s and have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship since that time. In December 2007, Gooding County Memorial Hospital District and St. Luke’s Health System partnered to secure financing to build a new hospital. In March 2010, North Canyon Medical Center (NCMC) opened and we’ve continued to work with St. Luke’s on expanding services in the community.
The landscape in healthcare continues to change and as we entered 2016, the Board began discussions around NCMC operating as an independent and autonomous hospital. On, December 23, 2016 a Partnership Withdrawal Agreement was executed to return NCMC to an independent and autonomous organization that will focus on the communities we serve. We will continue to work with St. Luke’s and other facilities to meet the healthcare needs of our communities and look forward to our bright future.
